Rising tides, rising voices: Addressing Climate Vulnerability in Small Island Development States (SIDS) in IFAD13
HM King Tupou IV delivered the opening remarks for the above side event during COP 28 led by the IFAD. The event was attended by Ministers and other high-level representatives from SIDS, donor countries, and international organizations, highlighting the unique climate challenges that SIDS faces calling for urgent support from the global community, and opportunities for building resilience and adaptation to climate change.
The event was also attended by Tonga delegations led by the Prime Minister Hu’akavameiliku joined by Lord Fohe, Minister for Agriculture, and Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, Minister for Finance and Tonga Governor. to IFAD
