PM Hu’akavameiliku Advances Tonga’s Development Agenda in Bilateral Meeting with ADB's Director General at COP 28
The Hon. Prime Minister Hu’akavameiliku held a bilateral meeting with the Director General, Leah C. Gutierre of the Asian Development Bank’s Pacific Department in the margin of COP 28 in Dubai. The meeting specifically discussed the existing ADB-funded projects including further potential support to health, infrastructure, and energy sectors. Hon. Hu’akavameiliku also emphasized the importance of development partners' harmonization through the co-financing of projects and to expedite project implementation.
The event was also attended by Tonga delegations led by the Prime Minister Hu’akavameiliku joined by Lord Fohe, Minister for Agriculture, and Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, Minister for Finance.
