Japan GGP Programme Grant Award Signing -1st Half 2023:
14th Feb, 2023: The Minister of Finance, Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti awaited the Guest of Honor HE Mr. Munenaga, Japan's Ambassador and Beneficiaries of the Grants at St George Conference Room Level 2, which marked the Signing of Grant Assistance for 3 new projects under the GGP Program funded by the Government of Japan with a total cost of USD$254,696.
1) Water Supply System in Kanokupolu Village – USD$91,399 signed by TWB CEO Mr. Sione Tutulu Finau
2) Improvement of Free Wesleyan Primary School, Nuku’alofa – USD$83,971 signed by Mrs. Lavinia Tafolo
3) Improvement of Water Supply System in Puke Village – USD$79,326 signed by Mr. Malolo Tupou
Reverand Samiu Fonua, FWC minister, led the occasion with an opening prayer, Mr Sione Tutulu Finau shared the vote of thanks, and Mr. Malolo did the closing prayer. Mrs Asopesio Lalakala, Principal Economist, Aid Management Division (AMRDD) was the Master of Ceremony.
