During the 57th ADB Annual Meeting, President Masatsugu Asakawa met with the Pacific Finance Ministers to discuss specific issues such as Climate Financing, Private Sector Development, and Domestic Revenue mobilization. The Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, Minister for Finance-Tonga led the discussants on the Domestic Revenue Mobilization in which he emphasized Tonga’s firm commitment to strengthening its domestic revenue base through tax administration reform, broadening the tax base, and enhancing compliance. He called upon the ADB and other development partners to support Tonga's efforts in domestic revenue mobilization.
