Suva, Fiji- Mr. Stephen Ndegwa, the country Director for PNG and the Pacific Islands at the World Bank, held a meeting with Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti in Suva, Fiji. The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the Worl Bank funded projects in Tonga.

The Ambassador of the European Union to Tonga, H.E. Ambassador Sujiro Seam, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Finance, Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, at the Ministry of Finance this morning. The Minister acknowledged the European Union's support to Tonga, particularly in the energy and public sectors, as well as civil society. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of working collaboratively with regional organizations to implement the regional programs funded by the European Union.
