The Government of Tonga and Save the Children Tonga have officially signed a Partnership Agreement to launch the Building the Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector (BRACE) project - a five-year initiative designed to strengthen climate resilience in the education system.

Accelerating Trade Facilitation and Logistics in The Pacific

Leaders of the Pacific in 2024 demonstrated and expressed urgent need for support in the implementation of the Pacific Regional Trade Facilitation Strategy, and the region has requested funding for the Accelerating Trade Facilitation in the Pacific Project ‘The Project’ to be financed by the World Bank (WB). Each of the project components builds upon extensive WB technical assistance and operational experience in the areas of trade facilitation and maritime transport as well as regional coordination on trade facilitation.

Pacific Healthy Islands Transformation (PHIT) (World Bank-funded)

The Government of Tonga (GOT), amongst others in the region has requested funding for the Pacific Healthy Islands Transformation (PHIT) Project to be financed by the World Bank (WB) through the International Development Association (IDA). PHIT Project is a regional project involving Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga and Tuvalu, and the Pacific Community (SPC) as a key regional coordinating partner. The PHIT project is designed as a suite of regional investments to support the transformation of Pacific health systems into fit-for-purpose primary health care (PHC) oriented health systems that promote health and deliver adequate preventive and curative services in the region.
