The Asian Development Bank Board of Director’s has approved the Tonga SECURE Project on 20th November 2025. The Government of Tonga through the Ministry of Finance has the privilege to joined with ADB Head Quarter office in Manila on signing the Sustainable Corridos and Urban Resilience (SECURE) Project.

The Ministry of Finance hosted the 4th Annual Business Opportunity Seminar (BOS) last Thursday 27th November 2025 at Tanoa Hotel which presented the private sector with upcoming business opportunities in World Bank projects as well as other donor funded projects in Tonga.

The Government of Tonga, through the Ministry of Finance, has received a USD 10 million grant from the Asian Development Fund (ADF) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to strengthen public financial management and support vulnerable households.

The Grant Contracts formalizing Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Project, GGP for two new projects for the Kingdom of Tonga were signed on Friday, 24 October 2025 in Nuku’alofa. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Finance conference room at St. George Building.
